Eligibility Requirements

Michigan Resident

Students must be a resident of the state of Michigan to be eligible to enroll at Michigan Cyber Academy. To ensure compliance with this requirement,  proof of residency will be required during the registration process.

Ages 14-21, Grades 9-12

To be eligible for the Michigan Cyber Academy students must be between the ages of 14 and 21 and be enrolled in grades 9 through 12.

  • Will My Student Earn a High School Diploma?

    Students who successfully complete our program will graduate and earn a high school diploma. To achieve this, students must fulfill all program requirements, including completing their coursework on time, maintaining their residency in Michigan, and adhering to school policies.

  • Are Classes 100% Online?

    Our program offers a flexible, self-paced learning environment that allows students to work at their own pace while still maintaining a full-time commitment. Unlike traditional schools, students don’t attend scheduled classes with teachers. Instead, they log in to complete their coursework whenever it fits their schedule. This flexibility is ideal for students who work, have other commitments, or simply prefer to learn at night or during off-peak hours. While our program is self-paced, our dedicated teachers are always available to provide support and guidance when needed. Students can reach out to their teachers for help with assignments, questions, or feedback.

I graduated from MCA in 2024 after leaving my in person public school. I found that the way I was treated in person schooling was taxing on my mental health. When I started attending MCA they had a very friendly and reliable staff that made sure I succeeded. They accommodate for all kinds of problems you could be having whether it be with your courses or if you have something going on in your personal life that's affecting your performance. I graduated from MCA in 2024 and it wouldn’t have been possible without them. I had some health issues that put me out of public school for almost the entire last month of my junior year. My public school deemed the entire school year as incomplete. The health issues continued and I was unable to return to in person school. The flexibility of Michigan Cyber Academy is the reason I was able to graduate on time with the rest of my class. I was able to go to work and still complete my classes outside of normal school hours and the teachers worked with me to make it possible. All of the staff I interacted with were incredibly helpful, supportive, kind, and responded in a timely manner. I was able to complete around 13 credits in one calendar year, which never would’ve happened if I had stayed at in person school.

I went through MCA for my last year of High School, even though MCA is fully online, everything is easy to understand and laid out clearly, and if something doesn’t make sense, they respond to emails really quickly. They regularly check in to see how school is going, and they were definitely there for me every step of the way, not just as educators they were there for me on a personal level too, showed they genuinely wanted to see me succeed, believed in my goals, gave me motivation and a head start to chase what I want in life. They were there every time I was confused. I know first-hand that you learn just as much through this program as you would in a regular classroom. I’d recommend MCA to anyone who would rather do remote learning than go in person, and I actually already have, to friends and parents looking for a better option

Michigan Cyber Academy was the best option for me and my education. I started high school in person, but had trouble getting to classes on time and being motivated to do my work. I decided to switch to MCA in sophomore year and I’m glad I did! The school offers a great and flexible curriculum with engaging classes. All of the teachers are wonderful and easy to communicate with, Mrs. Sandford is an amazing mentor and really helped me get through my last years of school! I even got to take classes in photography and music production which were two things I always held interest in! MCA helped me gain back my motivation and the overall experience was great from the classes to the teachers, I’m very glad to be an MCA graduate!
